Goldsboro’s Future

THE WAY IT COULD BE:

 

I want to see a city where our children as well as our Seniors can walk safely down any street, any time of the day without fear or reservation.

I want to see a city where our employees are content, if not happy with their jobs, and take great pride in performing them well.

I want to see a city with a low crime rate and high morale. With low unemployment and high expectations for a bright future.

I want to see a city with citizen involvement and participation in local government, High quality drinking water and a high academic achievement in all of our schools .

I want to see a city where businesses and industry compete to come here and then expand, not fold and move away.

I want to work with DGDC to improve our image and enhance our reputation,
with Habitat for Humanity to provide more and better housing for our citizens..
And the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce to entice and encourage new business and industry to make Goldsboro their new home.

I want to work with Wayne County Historical Association to protect and preserve our Historic Homes.

I want to see a new multi-purpose Civic Center that will host a variety of events and functions which will bring in much needed revenues. ........and I want to see that city called Goldsboro.

My Mission Statement is simple:

Objectives:

 

To Establish a platform of sensible solutions to all issues involving the welfare of the City of Goldsboro and the citizens thereof.

To Stop wasteful spending of the taxpayers' money on frivolous unneeded projects, studies and programs and prioritize funding for those programs that truly address the needs of the city.

To Meet current and future needs of the community, provide the most efficient services to better our community starting with employees and infrastructure.

To Maintain quality streets, enhance our historic structures that positively reflect Goldsboro's essence.

To Entice new Business and Industry to the area to increase employment and wages for a better quality of life for all.

To Establish safeguards to ensure that Conflicts of Interest, Bid Rigging, Inside Information Abuse do not occur.

To Demonstrate leadership by example on the simply premise of Truth, Fairness and Honesty.

To Endeavor to mobilize the Goldsboro community toward more civic participation, promote civic pride and showcase the cultural diversity that makes our city a unique and exciting place to live and work

To Introduce and undertake projects that will actually generate a revenue for Goldsboro, an alternative to taxation.
