How You Can Help

There Are Several Ways You Can Help

The top of the list, of course, is Financial, elections cost money!

Advertising, campaign signs & literature, mailings, paid workers, fees, etc., it all adds up...and rather quickly, I might add.

I will never ask anyone directly for a contribution
as that can make both of us uneasy. I figure that if someone wants to contribute, they will. So rest at ease, (as I talk your ear off when we meet) that I won't put you on the spot. But if you really want to help, you can ask your friends to contribute.

Another important element is Prayer, Pray for guidance, direction and wisdom to make informed decisions for all of those who will take office.

Volunteers are needed in every area of the election process, in order for it to be successful. This includes campaigning, fundraising, organizing, getting the word out, delivering and erecting signs and voter registration. You can pick up voter registration cards at the Board of Elections, or the Republican or Democratic Headquarters and keep them with you all the time.

Cross the Lines Support Candidates in OTHER DISTRICTS as well as yours that you think will make better councilmen and share your views on important issues.

Invite us to speak at your local civic organizations and churches
.
Good debates would benefit everyone. (Again not the Jerry Springer knock down, drag out debates but the Glenn Beck ~~ Honest Questions~~Honest Answers type debate. Televised would be even better.

"Darn, Lost Another Vote to Di-tech" !!!

You DO NOT have to be a Goldsboro City Resident (or registered voter) to do these things!

You can do everything a city resident can do except vote.
(and who knows, in Wayne county, you may even get by with that........ a couple of times!)

elections have been won and lost by as little as one single vote.

~ Your vote does count!

If we can get a whole new city council, the Annexation issue could be dropped, our Police Department can be brought up to strength, streets improved, have a better quality of life for our citizens! We will also avoid the impending bankruptcy that we are headed towards with mis-management of city funds!

I will attempt to find every way possible to persuade the members of my council to vote to drop the Forced Annexation Issue. We only need 4 out of 7 votes to dismiss the issue. There was 1 out of  7 and that '1'  was a very weak vote. As of 07/05/07 Bryan not running that weak vote is gone and it is 0 out of 6.

I will form a Coalition of Candidates that are NOT on city council now, together we can help support each other in our effort to replace those at city hall and reclaim Goldsboro back to the citizens of Goldsboro. I consider myself a team player, and I will support just about ANY new challenger as long as they take a common sense approach to important issues. Whether their views are the same or different from mine.

Things look good, we now have:
Michael Headen, District 1
L.J. Stanley, District 2
Jerry Broadhurst District 3
Susan Farfour District 5
Write-in Candidate to Replace Chuck Allen
You will have to actually write her name Susan Farfour in the blank space provided on the district 5 ballot

If we don't try to make Goldsboro a better place to live, we have no room to complain when more bad choices are made.
